With a long growing season and an average mean temperature 2 degrees warmer than Adelaide, the Production Nursery propagates over 1,000 different species of Australian plants and is quality accredited to ISO9001:2000 standards.
The Production Nursery has a planted area of 2 hectares of stock plants to provide cutting material and seed for propagation.
All plants are grown in full sun and as a result are hardened to maximise survival when planted out.
Rocket pots are tied to wires for stability and to withstand strong winds without damaging the plant and are all individually watered with drippers.
State Flora mixes all its own potting mixes on site and tests them regularly to conform to Australian potting mix standards.
